Ryan Reynolds will make his first official appearance in Romania as a headline speaker at IMPACT Bucharest 2026, scheduled for September 29–30, the organizers announced on Monday.
The Golden Globe-nominated Hollywood actor, one of the industry’s most recognizable and versatile figures, is also a producer of the Deadpool franchise — a global, multi-billion-dollar phenomenon that reshaped the superhero genre through humor, self-irony and unconventional storytelling.
Beyond his film career, Reynolds has become a widely cited example of a new generation of entrepreneurs who blend creativity, speed and authenticity. He holds a stake in Aviation American Gin and was a key investor in Mint Mobile, brands later acquired in landmark deals valued at more than one billion dollars. Through his creative marketing agency, Maximum Effort, Reynolds is also known for his rapid, real-time advertising approach, often referred to as “fastvertising”, which includes viral campaigns launched just hours after major brand moments.
At IMPACT Bucharest 2026, Reynolds will share stories from film sets, boardrooms and creative studios, offering insights into creativity, leadership and decision-making processes. He is also known for speaking openly about anxiety and how it has shaped his leadership style — a perspective that resonates strongly within high-pressure business and creative environments.
IMPACT Bucharest will hold its third edition as part of a conference series that has become a well-established brand across Europe. Since 2016, IMPACT events in Poland have brought together business and political leaders, academic experts and influential voices from the arts and culture sectors.
IMPACT Bucharest 3: The Largest and Most Significant Economic Event
The third IMPACT Bucharest edition is expected to be the largest and most significant economic event in Southeast Europe, providing a platform for debate across a wide range of topics and creating networking opportunities with business leaders from across the continent.
In recent years, IMPACT Bucharest has hosted globally recognized figures such as former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and Erin Meyer, one of the world’s most influential experts in management and organizational culture, alongside hundreds of international specialists, opinion leaders and innovators.
Organizers said that following the success of last year’s edition, this year’s conference will be larger and more dynamic. Around 2,000 participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Albania and other Southeast European countries, as well as from Poland and across Europe, are expected to attend.
This year’s event will also feature a stronger presence of public sector representatives from Romania and the wider Southeast European region, including mayors, national government officials and representatives of European Union agencies.
Discussions will focus on economic development, innovation and the benefits of connecting local, regional and global ecosystems for Romania and the region. The agenda will cover topics ranging from defence and cybersecurity, green transition, digitalization and the future of cities, to global economic development and the banking sector, leadership, health, marketing and digital commerce. The full list of speakers will be announced at a later date.
