Romanians are hands-on organizing their personal events, and the interest for booking photographers for civil weddings and baptisms spiked in 2025 on HomeRun. Requests for civil wedding photographers skyrocketed, being almost five times higher than in 2024, while baptism photography demand rose by 28%, highlighting a growing interest for reviewed professionals to capture life’s most cherished celebrations.
Rising Prices & Changes of Consumer Behavior
In 2025, the average price paid for the services of a photographer for a wedding or a baptism surged from an average of RON 2,600 RON to RON 3,140. While the lowest prices can be accessed for civil wedding photographs, the couples pay the highest amount of money if they want both photo and video services for the traditional wedding.
Apart from pricing, another thing that changed compared to the previous year is that the demand for traditional wedding photographers dropped, being 43% lower than for the civil ceremonies. On top, new event-related services are also booming, as requests for wedding planners, DJs, and decorators jumped five times compared to 2024, confirming that couples increasingly rely on professionals to design personalized, stress-free celebrations, but they are also interested in comparing offers and in securing the best deals. However, not all the deals on the platform were secured just for the lowest price, but the decisions were made following discussions with the suppliers as well.
“Planning important celebrations is stressful, and choosing the best suppliers while being mindful of the budget can be challenging. We saw an increase in demand for weddings and baptism-related services, and we noticed that more and more people rely on HomeRun for finding the best suppliers for their event throughout the entire country – not only in Bucharest, but throughout the entire country in cities like Călărași, Arad, Iași, Constanța or Vrancea, and we are happy that the network of entrepreneurs listed on the platform we can cater to the needs of the local consumers,” Bașak Değim Tașpınar, co-CEO al HomeRun, mentioned.
