A EUR15m investment in one of Romania’s leading online local services platforms has fueled regional expansion, with operations now spanning 14 countries across the EMEA region.
In Romania, the platform reported a 42.19% year-on-year increase in listed service providers, reflecting accelerated growth. Consumers can currently choose from 1,930 service categories available on the platform.
“Following the 2022 merger between HomeRun and ProntoPro — market leader in Italy and active in several other European countries — we made a significant investment in developing a unified tech platform capable of serving multiple countries efficiently. This EUR15m investment was largely focused on strengthening our technology and expanding our presence both in our core markets and emerging ones — with Romania standing out as one of the most promising and strategic markets,” Başak Değim Taşpınar, co-CEO of the company, mentioned.
Over 500,000 Romanians served by the providers listed on this particular services platform
With services available throughout the entire country, the company has managed to increase its customer base by 140% since the 2022 last round of investment, reaching over half a million of Romanians who are already connected with the providers through the app. Those who are interested in receiving an offer for a service need to sign up in the app, set up their location, and describe the issue they need support for.
The service providers will receive the query, and if they are interested, they can make a bid. For each query the consumers can receive up to four bids, and they can select the best offer after analyzing the proposals and getting in touch with the providers if they need to exchange additional details, using the chat available in the app or through a phone call. As the goal of the platform is to maximize the chances of providing a high-quality service, the algorithm of the platform will ensure that the services providers with the highest rankings can be the first to make the bids.
For each bid made, the service providers need to pay a fee, and this is an additional measure for connecting the consumers with serious services providers. The clients who want to access a service don’t pay any fee for making a query. As consumer interest grew in the past year, the company registered a 51% revenue increase in the first six months of 2025, compared to the same period of 2024.

Psychologist and home-related services were among the most sought-after in the past 12 months
The Romanians usually visit the platform when they need help for chores around the house, but they are also looking for services providers who can attend to their mental wellbeing. While in the past 12 months top 3 most sought-after services were home cleaning, AC Installation, and Interior painting, psychologist services rank forth in terms of demand. Full-service home renovation services, moving, electrical connections and plumbing are also among the high demand services throughout Romania, suggesting that consumers rely on home run both for maintaining their current homes, but also for settling in their new places.
